Solid technique, undivided devotion.

We begin with mastering solid techniques as true craftsmanship requires both refined skill and devotion. Pottery doesn't lie, it easily exposes half-hearted work, just as it radiates genuine passion. That is why we refuse to take shortcuts. By grounding every step from wedging to throwing in dedicated, we honestly pour our intentions into the clay, shaping pieces that mass production could never replicate.

Fanny Sit

Gary Tse

Ariel Chow

  • Fanny Sit

Founder of Tung Ceramics, Fanny began with a Japanese master and evolved through diverse cultural mentors into a well-rounded creative philosophy.

In 2017, Fanny traveled to Taiwan, to study under Mr. Lee Hsieh Chi, whose wisdom defined her core values as a ceramicist: "Technique is just the starting point. Beyond skill lies attitude and self-cultivation.” Pottery doesn't lie, it easily exposes half-hearted work, just as it radiates genuine passion. Believing that pottery completely mirrors the maker’s true dedication, Fanny refuses shortcuts, relying instead on solid craftsmanship to shape soulful pieces that mass production could never replicate.

Encouraged by Mr Lee, she founded Tung Ceramics in 2020 as a serene space to follow the rhythm of clay and explore endless possibilities. Through every unique works, Fanny hopes to cultivate a lifestyle of ceramic aesthetics while passing down the pure spirit and technical artistry of pottery.

  • Gary Tse

Specializing in the art of hand-building, Gary’s work beautifully pairs ceramics with botany, a reminder that life itself springs from the soil. While his early creations were structural and sculptural—focusing on raw clay and white glazes—his recent work explores the interplay of vibrant, layered glazes that enhance surface depth. Since 2014, Gary has shared his vision through exhibitions and inclusive community workshops, bringing the therapeutic art of pottery to schools, universities, and individuals with visual impairments, autism, or emotional challenges.

  • Ariel Chow

With over a decade of experience in ceramic creation and education, Ariel is passionate about observing everyday details, natural forms, and various textures, transforming them through clay into heartfelt ceramic art. To her, pottery is not just a practice of technical skill, but a unique way of documenting life.

Since 2023, Ariel has dedicated herself to school-based ceramic education, teaching students from kindergarten through secondary school and witnessing firsthand the pure joy that hand-building brings to children. At the same time, she actively hosts workshops for teachers and parents, sharing the therapeutic and aesthetic values of ceramics. Reflecting on her decade-long journey with clay, Ariel is honored to share this lifelong passion with every creative soul who steps into the world of pottery.
